Whitetail Deer Hunting in Alberta Canada
Alberta Whitetail Deer Hunts in Central Alberta
Our whitetail deer hunting takes place in November during the rut when the mature bucks are actively searching for does. Our whitetail deer hunts are done in ground blinds, pop-up blinds & ladder stands along cutlines and clear cuts. Rattling & calling are methods we use while hunting Alberta whitetails, with shots being 50-300 yards. The antler size of the whitetails in our area is 140" - 170" B.C., with some scoring 200"+ B.C. The best opportunities come from stand hunting, however, when the opportunity presents itself for spot and stalk whitetail hunts we are definitely up for the challenge.
Alberta Whitetail Deer Hunting Areas
We have two whitetail deer hunting areas. We hunt the foothills of Alberta with thick bush and open cutlines. This is excellent habitat with plenty of cover to hunt these mature trophy whitetail deer. We also offer whitetail hunts on private land in the parkland of Alberta which consists of farmland and bush. There are plenty of open fields for feeding and forest for the deer to take cover. Private access to this deer hunting country allows us to scout all year for trophy whitetails and gives us exclusive rights to hunt in this area. This means little hunting pressure from local hunters, excellent trophy potential and guides that know the area and whitetails that live there.

Mule Deer Hunting in Alberta Canada
Alberta Mule Deer Hunts
Our mule deer hunting takes place in November during the rut when the mature bucks are actively searching for does and deer movement is at its peak. Mule deer hunting at this time ensures the best opportunity for success. The antler size of bucks we harvest is 165" - 190"+ B.C, with some scoring 200"+ B.C. Spot & stalk is the most effective method we use for our mule deer hunts allowing us to cover a lot of ground. Occasionally, pop-up blinds may be used. Though we can tailor our hunts to suit anyone's physical ability, hunters should be prepared to do some hiking to have the best chance at harvesting a trophy mule deer.
Alberta Mule Deer Hunting Area
Our mule deer hunting area is in the parkland of Alberta on private land owned by local farmers. The hunting area consists of open fields and mixed forests along the Red Deer River valley, which is known for huge mule deer. Private access allows us to scout all year for trophy mule deer and gives us exclusive rights to hunt mule deer in this area. This means little hunting pressure from local hunters, excellent trophy potential and guides that know the area and mule deer that live there.

Elk Hunting in Alberta Canada
Alberta elk hunts
Elk hunting takes place in mid October during the tailend of the rut in the Rocky Mountains next to Banff National Park. The country is rugged and does not lend itself to elk hunting any other way but on foot or horseback. Elk hunting on horseback allows you to reach locations that are not accessible by vehicle which means better chances of seeing more trophy elk. Horseback elk hunting is the preferred method of hunting because we can cover more ground, however we can access our hunting area by boat and then hunt on foot for those who are not comfortable on horses. Many non-migratory herds of elk are scattered throughout this area. We will be hunting the rich pastures of large mountain meadows, pine and aspen forests, and along rivers and streams where the elk live. This is a prime hunting location with low hunting pressure. Alberta is the place to hunt when it comes to trophy elk.
We ususally hunt in the early morning and late afternoon, when the herds are most active. We will do some calling (bugling and cow calls) while hunting feeding areas, looking for sign of elk activity and listening for bugling bulls. We have found this to be the best time to spot & stalk trophy elk. Our elk hunting area is managed for trophy bulls with a minimum six point rule in effect. Several exceptional bulls are taken each year in this region. The average antler size of the bulls 315" B.C., with the bigger end scoring 350"+ B.C. The success rate on our elk hunts is 75%. This is primarily an elk hunt but we can add a whitetail deer, mule deer or wolf to the hunt.
